About Us
Windrush House was the home of the late watercolour landscape artist James Fletcher-Watson, R.I, R.B.A. (1913-2004).
Today his daughter, Josephine Neil, runs a variety of watercolour courses in Windrush, with tuition from well-known art tutors from all over the UK.
Tutors include: Steve Hall, Paul Weaver, Peter Cronin, Jake Winkle, Judi Whitton, Andrew Hucklesby and Fiona Peart. New tutors are added to the programme each year to offer new experiences.
The beautiful Georgian house and gallery in the heart of the Cotswolds is an ideal location for outdoor landscape painting and indoor workshops. There’s a large studio space, an elegant dining room, and breath-taking local views on the doorstep, including Cotswold cottages, stone barns and the River Windrush.
Day courses include a delicious buffet-style lunch and tea with home-made cake.
Residential courses, for 2 and 3 days, offer a variety of options: either lunch at Windrush House or in a nearby pub near the painting location.
B&B accommodation is available in Windrush House or The Stables. A list of other local accommodation is also available.
Free parking in the car park beside the Gallery.
